I’m afraid our “bests” tend to change with time, and I like to believe the best is yet to come.
So long, 31 Days of Music! It’s been fun.

My morning ride in the spanish trains to go the office. My trip to The Netherlands (see picture below). Every adventure in Europe. A part of my heart getting left behind.

Well, mine isn’t an original choice, but I guess that stands in favor of today’s topic: “an artist everyone hated…” (not EVERYONE, but close).
Ladies & gentlemen, I give you Miss World by Hole, from their second album, Live through this (KILLER!)
I need I want I will, by MAdM.
I don’t know anyone else who’s had a dream that paved the way into their entire life so clearly. It’s truly amazing and heartwarming to know there are people around who pay real attention to their inner messages and allow themselves to be lead by those signals. I wish I could be more like that.
Anyway, I didn’t know if I should post the original song. Even though the lyrics have been shortened for the live version, it’s so intense that I think it makes up for the lost words.
For those who don’t know the story, when Melissa was 19 years old, she had a dream about the power of sound and how it could make people connect. After that, she just picked up a bass, no hesitation at all. A few years later she was invited to audition for Hole. Her musical career had just began, and all because of a dream. That’s what I call guts.
This is the shortened version of the original lyrics
I had a dream
I pass it on…
In the last decade of the 20th century
A building was erected
To house a dream of many
Three dimensional sound
And for these people
Who made sound their lives
This was a day of life changing quality
Through their skin
And into their blood
Following their heart beat
The music became them
And they became it
It was loud!
I need, I want, I will
Pass it on
No lo soporto. I’ve mentioned them before. I used to go see them every time they played, until their bassist left and I kinda lost track of the band.
Anyway, here’s a song from their first album, called Insignificante.
